STEP BY STEP LEAKING SHOWER REPAIR PROCEDURE
Removal of floor tiles and mortar tile bed within the shower area
Drawn by David Viles (not to scale - guide only)
Remove the floor tiles and mortar bed - an electric jack hammer is recommended.
This makes the job much easier; if you hire one, back breaking work
will be eliminated.
Before using the jack hammer, cover the shower drainage
outlet with some tape as this prevents rubble from falling into the drainage system.
After the floor tiles and mortar bed have been removed,
you will see what type of membrane was used previously,
if any !
