STEP BY STEP LEAKING SHOWER REPAIR PROCEDURE
Re-tiling the shower area
Drawn by David Viles (not to scale - guide only)
Use a good quality wall tile adhesive to re-tile the wall edges.

The tile adhesive we recommend on the hob tiles is a cementitious based tile adhesive.

Tile grout used is a flexible pre-mixed and water resistant.

All floor tiles are wet bedded on a mortar tile bed which consists of a
4:1 Sand and Cement mix.

The grout used on the floor tiles is mixed with off white cement and sand.

Use a grout rake to remove the grout from the vertical internal corner of the shower area. Use a caulking gun to apply a bead of flexible anti-mould silicone down this internal corner.

THERE IS A WAITING PERIOD OF 4 DAYS BEFORE THE SHOWER SCREEN CAN BERE-INSTALLED. IN THIS TIME THE ADHESIVES, GROUTS AND MORTAR CAN CURE.
