Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java. The issue of waterproofing failures and defects caused by water penetration has plagued the building industry for many years resulting in huge rectification and re-work costs. In 2002, the New South Wales Government established a Joint Select Committee to conduct an enquiry into the Quality of Buildings. Evidence placed before the enquiry highlighted concerns regarding inadequate training and the lack of prerequisite skills in speciality constructions such as waterproofing. The Master Builders Association of NSW (MBA) is proud to have initiated the publication of the ''Guide to Internal Wet Area Waterproofing'' which is designed as a reference tool and training aid and which establishes best practice in Internal Wet Area Waterproofing. The MBA acknowledges the dedication, expertise and hard work of the Technical Committee of the MBA Waterproofing Council.
